From whence did life come?
No-one knows.
Literally… no-one.
And, the current theories on how it might have happened aren’t even that great as theories.
We simply have no idea how our current understanding of material properties could result in life where once there was no life.
Does this fact matter? How does it matter?

Scientists have many good theories about how life on earth might have happened, any of which could be plausible.
– No… they don’t.
Ok, but there has to be a material explanation. A spiritual or supernatural explanation is just wishful thinking or desiring that reality be other than it is.
– Insisting that there can only be a material explanations is the part that is wishful thinking.
